You must be at the arraignment. If you are out-of-custody, you must
show up in person and on time. Failure to do so could result in a
warrant for your arrest being issued. You will receive a copy of the
indictment. Don't worry about the arraignment; the judge will usually
only ask you two (2) questions: 1) is your name spelled right in the
indictment? And, 2) do you understand that you have to show up for your
next court date or the case will go on without you? The judge will
automatically enter a "not guilty" plea for you. There is nothing wrong
with pleading "not guilty" since you have a constitutionally right to a
presumption of innocence and it is the State's responsibility to prove
