Arizona DUI Costs

Firm Overview | Vladimir Gagic PLLC

Firm Overview | Vladimir Gagic PLLC

I am asked all the time "how much will this cost me" and "is it worth it to get a lawyer? I then hear "a friend of mine who went through the same thing said just plead guilty". While those are legitimate concerns, I can tell you the cost of not fighting a DUI charge is worse and more expensive. I have heard from countless people, years after conviction even, that they wish they had fought their DUI because the consequences are so severe.

A DUI charge that you did not fight because you did not want to spend the money on a lawyer, and for which you should not have been convicted or received a lessor punishment, is much more expensive than you can imagine. And there are other issues as well such as the department of Motor Vehicles License Suspension and insurance issues that I will handle. I will handle the MVD and license matter at no additional cost to you.

SO HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR A DUI IN ARIZONA?

I will do a free initial consultation in my office, where I will tell you what my fee to represent you will be. I cannot quote a single fee for all cases because the fee depends on the circumstances of the case: the complexity, whether it is a felony or misdemeanor, the BAC allegation, allegation of priors, etc... I do not charge extra for cases outside of Phoenix. I do not under any circumstance take cases pro bono.

However, if the defendant is in custody, I charge a fee to visit them. If the jail visit is in metro Phoenix, then my jail visit fee is $500. Outside of metro Phoenix my one time jail visit fee is $1,500.00. If you decide to hire me after a jail visit, I will then credit that visit payment towards the entire fee.

If you are not sure if your case is a felony or misdemeanor, the vast majority of DUI cases are misdemeanors. If your case is in Justice Court or City Court, it is a misdemeanor. If your case is in Superior Court, it is a felony. If you are still not sure whether it is a felony or misdemeanor, I will tell you when I meet you for your consultation.

NOT FIGHTING A DUI CHARGE CAN BE EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE

We focus on defending Arizonans charged with DUI and other criminal charges. If the Federal or state governments have charged you with a DUI, you must do whatever you can to protect yourself. You need an experienced, dedicated, and aggressive law firm to protect you and your rights.

Our fees are done on a flat fee basis and I will personally quote you the fee to defend your case at your free initial consultation.

We has extensive experience in municipal, state, and federal court. We are prepared to protect you from the government and its onslaught.

If the government convicts you of a felony, you could lose your civil rights, including your right to vote and to bear arms, and you could face great difficulty in finding a job. You might even lose the job you have now. Many employers ask on employment applications whether or not you have after been convicted of felony. These things can happen even if you do not go to prison and the court only sentences you to probation. Of course, the worst result is the government sending you to prison.

An experienced and aggressive attorney can make a difference because we will fight to reduce the charges, have the case dismissed, or obtain a not guilty verdict after trial.

Even before trial, however, we can do a lot to help you with your case. We will fight to get you released out of custody so you don't have to sit in jail while the case is pending. If the court sets a bond, we will fight to have the lowest bond imposed upon you and your family. Also, we will always keep you informed as to the status of your case and answer all your questions.

If the case comes down to sentencing, we will fight to have the court impose the least onerous sentence upon you. We will conduct a mitigation hearing if necessary, we will argue for probation, work-release, home detention, counseling, the least amount of fines, and any other possible alternatives best suited to reduce the impact of the sentence.

Regardless of the charges, the last thing you want is to suffer unnecessarily harsh consequences because your Arizona defense lawyer was incompetent or was not aggressive. The last thing you want your Arizona defense lawyer to do is to roll over for the government. What you want is somebody who will aggressively stand up for you to protect your rights.
